Our Theater I and Advanced Theater classes showcased pure talent at last night's One-Act Plays! From captivating scripts to heartfelt performances, several students not only took the stage for the first time but also stepped up as playwrights and directors. Huge applause to everyone who participated - you brought stories to life in the most memorable way! Special thanks to Mrs. Burchill for her continued dedication and all the behind-the-scenes magic that made this event possible. We couldn't be prouder of our student performers and crew!

Many North Carolina colleges and universities participate in C2C (countdown to college) by waiving application fees during College Application Week (CAW), which begins on October 21 at 7:30 a.m. and ends on October 27 at 11:59 p.m.

With North Carolina’s new simplified application program, public high school seniors with a weighted 2.8 GPA or above can easily apply to participating UNC System universities and their local North Carolina community college.
All eligible students have to do is complete a simplified application, maintain their GPA, and meet graduation and UNC System requirements. That's right - no essays!

As you are aware, our community has been hit hard from Hurricane Helene. The majority of our county is without power and cell service is very limited. Transylvania County Schools will be CLOSED through Friday, October 4, 2024; with NO extra-curricular activities, including sports. We will reassess the situation as the week progresses and send out further information on Friday, Oct. 4 for the following week. For community feeding information, please look at Transylvania County Facebook or tune in to WGCR or WSQL. Let's continue to be better together and support one another. Transylvania County Schools will have Virtual Learning Days on Thursday, September 26 and Friday, September 27, 2024 for all students. All school buildings will be Closed for students and students will learn from home.
During Virtual Learning Days, K-12th grade teachers assign student work via Google Classroom. In addition, teachers are available by email from 8:00 AM to Noon. Students will have 5 days to complete work from the first day you return to school.
If you have any questions or your student has trouble accessing their Google Classroom, please contact your child's teacher. Thank you for your understanding and please be safe.

Transylvania County is proud to have the Marine Corp JROTC program serving all three of its high schools. The cadets gathered on Wednesday for their promotion ceremony at Brevard High School. Parents and members from the community attended the event and were invited to do pushups with the cadets to begin the program. Then the cadets were given their promotional ranks and insignia pins. The MC JROTC program is focused on preparing students to become better citizens. #TCSTogether
