Candice Burchill 

About Me:

Greetings! I have been at Brevard High School since 2010 and have enjoyed working in both the English and theatre departments. I am also the director of the International Thespian Society, spring musical, and all the other acting performances and currently the department leader for the Fine and Performing Arts. 

In my spare time, I perform and direct musical theatre and straight productions both professionally and at a community level in Brevard, Hendersonville, Waynesville, and Asheville. Some of my favorite roles include: Hope Harcourt in "Anything Goes," Snoopy in "A Charlie Brown Christmas," Audrey in "Little Shop of Horrors," Rapunzel in "Into the Woods," and Shelby in "Steel Magnolias." However, spending time with my loving family is my most favorite thing to do outside of school.

Theatre is a place where one can set aside afflictions in reality and assume the mask of anyone. Theatre is an outlet, a form of expression, and a place where teamwork, community, and trust play vital roles. The students in the Brevard Community are remarkably talented, and it is truly a pleasure to work with them.
