Dear Blue Devil Families,

This is my final update for the year. We have had a great year and I thank everyone for your support of our school. We live in a great community and our school benefits from the Blue Devil Pride that abounds here in Transylvania County.

Here are some things to highlight:
-A reminder that the Alumni Football Game tickets are still available for pre-sale prior to the game on June 8. The two schools only get funds from pre-sold tickets and not tickets bought at the gate so we encourage you to buy ahead of time.

-We have another session of Saturday School from 8-12 tomorrow for any student who needs to make-up attendance time or needs time to work on any final projects.

-Monday and Tuesday we will be concentrating on make-up exams and EOCs. Tuesday's official dismissal time is 1:00.

-All students should turn in their Chromebooks to the media center before 1:00 on Tuesday if they have not already done so. The computer itself along with the charger, the case, and the shoulder strap for the case need to be turned in. Students should also turn in any books or other school property that they have checked out to avoid fines or fees.

-Thursday: graduating seniors and junior marshals must attend our graduation rehearsal at 1:00 at the Brevard Music Center. Participants should report to the front few rows of the large outdoor auditorium by 1:00.

-Friday: We say goodbye to the class of 2013 as we hold our graduation at 6:00 PM at the Brevard Music Center. Graduates and marshals should report by 4:30 to prepare for the processional.

For more information on activities or events, visit our website at http://bhs.tcsnc.org or contact the school by phone at 828-884-4103. Thank you for your continued support of Brevard High School.

The band and chorus will host their spring concert on this afternoon at 5:30 and then the band association's annual picnic/awards will follow. Also, our softball team plays in a 3rd round state playoff game here at home at 5:30

Hello Blue Devil Families,
We were pleased to learn that Brevard High was named to the nation's Best High Schools list by US News & World Report. We were awarded their silver medal and ranked 35th in the state. This is a reflection of the hard work of our students, staff, and community. I also want to point out that next week is teacher appreciation so I'd encourage parents and students to take a moment to show their appreciation to their teachers next week.

Here are some things to highlight coming up soon:
-Tonight and Saturday: Our spring musical, Guys and Dolls, will be performed at 7:30 PM in the auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door. The production will be great and we hope to have a great turnout.
-Monday: Our golf team heads to regionals
-Tuesday: Our National Honor Society hosts their induction ceremony at 3:45 in the media center, softball plays at home, and our School Improvement Team meets at 5:00 in the media center.
-Wednesday: We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of integration in Transylvania County Schools at a ceremony held at our school at 10:00 AM. School children from all over our county will attend the presentation held in our stadium to commemorate this community milestone. Also on Wednesday, softball plays away and the World Languages Honor Society hosts an induction ceremony for new members.
-Saturday: Track & Field participates in regional competition.
NOTE: There are some tournament and regional athletic events that we do not have current information for scheduling at this time. Please check with coaches or the school for updates on any such events.
-We also want to remind you that tickets for the Brevard vs. Rosman Alumni Football game are on sale at the school as well as several locations in town. The game is coming up in June and I'm sure will be quite the event so get your tickets.
